Long known for good service and high quality, Green Olive is a small business based in Barnwell, providing bespoke curtains and covers. Founded seven years ago under the keen management of Ema Corcoran, the business has ventured into providing creative workshops.
There’s a huge variety of courses offered, including cross stitch, felting and aromatherapy, to name but a few. Green Olive works with other small businesses to create their unique courses, which has been beneficial to both parties. It allows Green Olive to support and provide exposure for the other businesses whilst improving the quality of their own workshops, as the partnerships mean they can call in field experts to run them. In September this year Green Olive worked with What Delia Did to provide an excellent class on cross stitch design.
There has been so much interest in the courses that Ema has been able to extend their workshop space.
Coming up this month are some festive themed classes, including Christmas wreath making, aromatherapy blending, and making robins out of felt. Gift vouchers are also offered; the perfect gift for those who love arts and crafts.
‘’The only problem,’’ she says, ‘’is that I want to do the workshops myself’’.
There are up to twelve courses each month, including introductory classes for beginners. Places for courses fill up fast. Check out the Green Olive Interiors Facebook page or visit the website at go-workshops.co.uk to have a look at the courses available to book.
